Leaving today, surgery tomorrow

Please pray that we'll both have peace today. We are packing and heading to Augusta this afternoon. Hoping to be able to pick up some books, etc. in the "bigger" city. Also, Rob is planning to pick something super yummy for dinner. He deserves it!!! He won't be able to eat for at least 5 days after surgery.

We are to go for pre-op tomorrow at 7:30 a.m., but don't know what time the actual surgery is. If I find out the specific time for surgery, I'll update the blog and my FB page today.

Thank you so much for your prayers, messages, and calls!

Well, I'll let you go now..............

  2. Heavenly Father, I lift up to you Rob & Christy and ask that You make Your presence known to them just now. Father, take away their fear and give them Your peace that passes all understanding so that they will have calm hearts and minds and will be able to make wise decisions with all the info they are about to receive. Jesus, You are the Great Physician! And just like You healed people by the power of Your hand and word, we know that You are still healing people by the gift of surgery, medicines, doctors, and nurses. Lord, I lift up to you all of those that attend to Rob and ask that you fill them with wisdom and skill. Lord, I ask that you give Rob's body healing and strength and protect him from all harm and infections. And finally, Father, I pray that You will use this time and situation to bring Glory to Your Powerful Name. We Love You Lord. Amen

  4. Dear Rob & Chisty.
Right now I pray you envelope our brother Rob in your healing light. Lord, please wrap him in your arms and give him the peace and comfort only You can. I pray that you will be with him today, and be with his physicians. Mother Mary, please guide their hands so everything goes smoothly. Lord we thank you for Rob, and thank you for working in his life.
I will continue to pray Rob & Christy. Rob, hope you won't be down too long.

  5. Just one more thing. When I was going into hospital for surgery, a special friend send m,e this long lost poem in my life. It meant so much to me that I hand wrote it and kept it with me until surgery. It meant so much to me. I hope, if you see this, it will have the same effect on both of you.

    Invictus

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
    For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
    Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
